MRI Compatible Audio Sound System

MRI-compatible sound systems are specially designed audio systems that can operate safely and effectively in the magnetic and RF-intense environment of an MRI suite. These systems are used to:

This system offers high-quality sound and can be easily customized to each patient’s preferences to allow them to enjoy their favourite music or other audio entertainment also allow one way communication during their procedure.

This perfect distraction helps alleviate the stress and anxiety that can be associated with these enclosed and sometimes claustrophobic scans.

Key Features of MRI-Compatible Sound Systems:

MR Conditional or Non-Ferromagnetic Components

All components in the scan room must be made from non-ferromagnetic materials to avoid being attracted by the strong magnetic field.

Pneumatic Sound Transmission

Most systems use pneumatic tubes to transmit sound because electronic speakers can't be placed Near to the magnet .

Remote Electronics

The amplifier and audio source are typically placed outside the MRI room (in the control room), and sound is piped in via plastic tubing to the patient.

Patient Communication

Integrated microphones and headphones allow for one-way communication between patient and technologist.

Noise Reduction

Comfortable, non magnetic headphones reduce MRI scanner noise for greater sound quality, providing 29 decibels of noise cancelation. The headphones feature an adjustable headband that fits both paediatric and adult head sizes.

Volume Adjust

Sound levels in MRI room and control room can be adjusted separately. Push To Talk - A push-to-talk microphone is provided to communicate with the patient.
